Dilshad discusses with Farhat Chishty and Yusra Chishty whose cries and pleas  speak volumes of the mentally challenged schools of Texas that carry abuse and neglect as part of the ignored system!!!!Mother and Daughter strive to continue struggle for their son and brother and will not give up!!

Indeed when you listen to this interview you can’t help tears in your eyes because this is not just a story it is the living conditions of the many  kids and adults who are mentally challenged  in our country. They are neglected and are at the mercy of the so called systems that run without accountability.What happened to Haseeb is not only brutal, cruel and unacceptable but who will pay the price for the life he has lost of moving around, talking, eating and living the life his family had hoped for……..

What Farhat has found, she says, is worse than anyone knows. “It’s not one person. It’s the system. They think I’m evil for being here, but the system is evil. They can’t admit that because if they do, they admit that the system is wrong.”

Dilshad brings in the perspective of how as community of parents and leaders can change things that sit on the shelf as appeals and legislatures which never get endorsed and come into effect to bring the change that is urgently required…
