On Saturday, October 16, some 5,000 people are expected to be walking to end global poverty at the Partnership Walk here in Dallas.

It is an initiative of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. and is organized by its hundreds of volunteers across American communities. It takes place in 5 major U.S. cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles.

Since the Walk began in 1995 in los Angeles , Partnership Walks have raised over $36 million.
